Tuesday AM

The buses are running few and far apart today, though the 41s looked
plentiful. The denizens of the financial district apparently have
lobbying power aplenty. No dirty 30s were in sight as we plodded down
Stockton resulting in a premium on space and a discussion with
passengers at each stop on how the doors do not close while they are
hanging out of the bus preventing them from closing. I assume that
the majority of perpetrators hanging out of the bus not only ride it
everyday but have received this lecture on more thabone occassion. In
spite of mass disembarckments (is that a word?) at each stop after the
tunnel the bus remains crowded though peaceful and unusually cheerful.
Many with faces buried in mobile devices or chatting softly on the
phone, a few looking totally numb anf resigned. Weather is sunny and
low 50s.

Some day I hope to see a bus driver turn around, point at someone, and say
"You. Disembark. NOW!"
